Shipping on Vestiaire Collective Spain: Direct, with authentication and Express

There is no single logistics route. The item, price, origin, destination and account determine which method appears. The safe rule is to follow the real order, not an old screenshot.

Operational summary

Vestiaire describes three main methods: Shipping with Authentication (Envío con Autentificación), Direct Shipping (Envío Directo) and Express Delivery (Entrega Express). Direct usually applies to items under 1.000 €, but it has exceptions and country gates.

Three routes, three consequences

Practical decision and evidence before carrying out the transaction.

With Shipping with Authentication, the seller first sends the item to a Vestiaire hub for authentication and quality control before the piece continues to the buyer. With Direct Shipping, the seller sends it to the buyer without that prior physical inspection. With Express Delivery, the item is already stored and has passed checks, so it can be dispatched quickly.

These routes change timings, handling points and the way an issue is managed. That is why a useful guide cannot be summed up as “Vestiaire ships with carrier X”. The specific carrier and the cost may vary; what is stable is understanding the architecture of the flow the order shows.

With Authentication

Seller → hub → buyer.

Direct

Seller → buyer.

Express

Stock at Vestiaire → buyer.

B

Direct Shipping: eligibility and current limit

Practical decision and evidence before carrying out the transaction.

The current Spanish help states that Direct Shipping is available for items under 1.000 € within the general framework described. There are also exceptions by brand, for professional sellers with a verified track record and for specific markets. So “under 1.000 €” should not be turned into a universal guarantee of eligibility.

The final decision is in the listing and checkout. The seller should not promise a method the buyer cannot yet see. If the order ends up being direct, pack for a seller→buyer journey and keep proof of handover to the carrier.

Changing data: price, brand, seller type and countries can change eligibility. Always check the method that appears in the real transaction.
C

Spain and territorial gates

Practical decision and evidence before carrying out the transaction.

Vestiaire publishes territorial matrices for Direct Shipping. The current help includes Europe, the United Kingdom and other markets, but specifies a particular exception for United Kingdom→Europe shipments: Italy, Romania and Spain are excluded from that flow. That sentence does not mean Direct Shipping is “switched off in Spain”; it means that specific territorial crossing has an exclusion.

This distinction matters for international Barguvo. A rule observed in France, Poland or the United Kingdom does not automatically carry over to Spain. Each branch must revalidate country, origin and destination.

LIMIT

COUNTRY/SITE GATE

Never turn a regional feature into a universal capability. If the app does not offer the method for that item and that route, do not design the process around it.

D

Shipping with Authentication

Practical decision and evidence before carrying out the transaction.

On this route the seller currently has up to 7 days to send the item to the centre. When it arrives, the team carries out the physical review and quality control. The help on timings describes an examination of approximately up to 2 working days after receipt before shipping continues, although the total time may vary due to logistics and review.

For the seller, the priority is to use the order’s label and instructions, pack well and ship within the deadline. For the buyer, the advantage is that there is a physical checkpoint before delivery, but that should not be translated into a promise of infallibility.

E

Express Delivery

Practical decision and evidence before carrying out the transaction.

If a listing shows Express Delivery, Vestiaire states that the piece is already stored, has been authenticated and has passed quality control. The current help mentions dispatch from the warehouse within 48 hours. It is an attribute of the listing, not an option the seller can improvise after a sale.

Nor should the Express label be reused as a generic signal of a “better seller”. It describes the logistics status of that specific unit within the system.

F

The 7-day gate

Practical decision and evidence before carrying out the transaction.

In the flows where the seller must ship after the purchase, Vestiaire currently uses a 7-day deadline. If it is not shipped, the order may be cancelled automatically and the buyer refunded. The help also covers exceptional cases without a prepaid label and specifies how receipt and transit are counted.

Barguvo should show the deadline as live data, not as a constant buried in code. If Vestiaire changes the limit in the future, the shipping owner must be able to be updated without rewriting other guides.

Cost, labels and customs

Practical decision and evidence before carrying out the transaction.

Shipping costs depend on the delivery country, the item’s price and the seller’s location. There is no universal rate that Barguvo should invent. International orders may also involve duties, import VAT (IVA) or processing charges; when Vestiaire can calculate them, it shows them at checkout.

If the platform provides a prepaid label, follow that label and its limits. Do not swap the carrier without checking whether it is allowed. Keep the receipt, tracking and photos of the packaging when the value or fragility of the piece justifies it.

H

What changes if there is an issue

Practical decision and evidence before carrying out the transaction.

With Direct Shipping, the buyer currently has 72 hours from delivery to report certain problems, such as the item not matching the description or doubts about authenticity, according to the applicable help. Vestiaire may hold the payment and investigate. With authenticated shipping, part of the review takes place before delivery, but a later claim still depends on the reason and the flow.

Do not confuse carrier damage, a non-conforming item and doubts about authenticity. They are different hypotheses and should be documented separately. The returns guide sets out the decision tree.

I

Packaging as part of the evidence

Practical decision and evidence before carrying out the transaction.

Proper packaging protects the piece and also makes it easier to reconstruct an issue. Photograph the item before closing the parcel if its value justifies it, use appropriate protection for hardware or delicate surfaces and avoid materials that transfer colour or moisture. Keep the drop-off receipt until the transaction is closed.

Do not use packaging photos to hide a pre-existing problem. If a defect already existed, it must be in the listing. If damage appears during transport, comparing earlier photos, the parcel and the item on arrival helps to separate the hypotheses.

For luxury items, “more packaging” does not always mean “better”. What matters is immobilising, protecting and following the carrier’s and Vestiaire’s instructions. Original boxes or dust bags are part of the description if they are sold with the item; shipping packaging is something else.

K

Example: same item, two possible routes

Practical deep dive to reduce mistakes before acting.

A bag priced at 800 € may seem eligible for Direct Shipping on price, but the final route also depends on brand, origin, destination, seller and the options shown to the buyer. If the buyer chooses Direct, the seller ships to the order address without prior physical inspection at a hub. If the system offers Shipping with Authentication and it is chosen, the same item goes first through a Vestiaire centre.

This changes the operational packaging, the tracking and the point at which a non-conformity can be detected. It does not change the obligation to describe the item correctly. A seller should not use the existence of a future check as an excuse to omit a defect, and a buyer should not assume that Direct means a complete absence of claim mechanisms.

For Barguvo, the route must be treated as order data, not as a fixed property of the marketplace. The screen can show “check the method displayed” and adapt the checklist when the user indicates Direct, Auth or Express.

L

A logistics checklist that can be reused

Practical deep dive to reduce mistakes before acting.

Before handing over the parcel, confirm the address or label, authorised carrier, current deadline, weight or dimensions if the label limits them and the exact contents of the parcel. Photograph the piece and the packaging when reasonable, especially if there are separate accessories. Do not include documents with personal data that are not necessary.

After handing it to the carrier, keep the receipt and tracking. If the tracking does not update, use the order channel before assuming it is lost. If the parcel comes back due to failed delivery, follow Vestiaire’s instructions; do not resend it on your own to an address received by chat without verifying that the order is still protected.

This checklist is cross-cutting and can be used for other marketplaces, but labels, deadlines, carriers and country gates are not copied. Correct reuse shares the decision structure, not specific rules.

M

Why a Spanish guide needs country of origin and destination

Practical deep dive to reduce mistakes before acting.

A person may be in Spain and buy from a seller in France, the United Kingdom, the United States or outside the European Union. The fact that the buyer is Spanish does not on its own determine the route. The origin can trigger customs, exclude a direct method or change the label and estimated time. That is why Barguvo should ask at least for origin, destination and the method shown before giving a specific checklist.

The United Kingdom→Europe example is useful: the current help lists Spain among the Direct Shipping exceptions for that crossing. That should not be generalised to “the United Kingdom does not ship to Spain” or to “Spain has no Direct”. The correct rule keeps exactly the territorial scope the source publishes.

In future international branches, this pattern avoids systematic errors. The structure of the guide can be reused, but each country revalidates its combinations. That way France or Poland do not silently inherit a Spanish exception and Spain does not inherit a feature available only elsewhere.

N

What to check just before handing over the parcel

The final review avoids confusing correct preparation with the method Vestiaire actually assigned.

Before closing the parcel, compare the piece with the listing one last time: included accessories, visible condition, number of units, size and any document that should accompany it. Then check the label and the shipping method shown in the current order. If the flow has changed since you prepared the listing, the current instruction for the transaction prevails, not an old screenshot or this guide.

Keep proof of handover to the carrier and do not share unnecessary personal data through parallel channels. If something does not match —address, carrier, label or deadline— use the order’s support before improvising an alternative route. That discipline is especially important in international transactions, where an apparent simplification can change customs, tracking or protection.

FAQ

What is Direct Shipping?

It is a route in which the seller ships to the buyer without Vestiaire physically examining the item before delivery.

Is it always available in Spain?

No. Eligibility depends on the item, price, seller type, origin and destination. There are also specific territorial exclusions.

How is it different from Shipping with Authentication?

In the authenticated flow, the item first goes through a hub for physical examination and quality control.

How long do I have to ship?

The current help uses a 7-day deadline in the main routes where the seller must ship after the purchase.

Can I use my own label?

Follow the order’s label and instructions. Do not replace the route provided without checking that Vestiaire allows it.

How much does shipping cost?

It depends on the delivery country, seller location, price and flow. Check the platform’s actual breakdown.

What happens if the seller does not ship on time?

Vestiaire states that it may automatically cancel the order and refund the buyer if the current deadline is not met.

Shipping methods and windows revalidated on 25/08/2026. Eligibility depends on product, route, country and account; confirm the method Vestiaire assigned to that order.
