Selling your motorbike to a professional with Motos.net: valuation, inspection and final offer

The direct-to-professional route avoids publishing a listing, but the first figure is still only indicative: ESTIMATE and PROFESSIONAL OFFER are different pieces of evidence, and neither is SOLD until the transaction is closed.

Barguvo rule: a listing, a valuation or a conversation on the platform do not, on their own, certify the real condition of the motorbike or turn an estimate into a closed sale.

Selling to a professional is not publishing a private listing

Motos.net currently offers a separate route for selling a motorbike directly to a professional without publishing a listing. That route serves an owner who wants to compare a more convenient option with a private sale. It must not be confused with opening a professional account to advertise stock.

The help for professional advertisers says that dealers, or anyone wanting to publish more than two motorbikes a year, need a professional account. Here, by contrast, we are talking about a private individual who enters the details of their own motorbike to receive a valuation and, if there are interested professionals, move on to an inspection and a final offer.

Separating both meanings avoids attributing B2B obligations to a person who is simply exploring a direct sale to a dealer.

Motorbike details and entry into the professional flow

The current Motos.net page lets you choose «Véndela a un profesional» (sell it to a professional) and obtain a valuation without creating a public listing. The first-party article from July 2026 explains that the user enters the motorbike’s details to start the calculation. The variables mentioned include model, year and mileage, plus a comparison with similar motorbikes in its database.

This initial collection of data serves to produce a reference. It is not equivalent to an inspection or a promise to buy. If data is missing or the reality of the motorbike differs from what was declared, the professional may value the unit differently when they see it.

The first figure is an ESTIMATE: indicative, not a sale price

Motos.net describes the initial valuation as instant/free and indicative. That word is the main guardrail. Barguvo classifies the figure as an ESTIMATE: a reference calculated from data and comparables.

ASKINGPrice asked in a listing.
ESTIMATECalculated initial reference.
PROFESSIONAL OFFERFinal offer after inspection.
SOLDTransaction completed with evidence.

The fact that the model compares similar motorbikes does not prove that it uses a history of closed sales. That is why R95 does not call the comparables base SOLD, nor does it present the estimate as “exactly what the motorbike is worth”. Real condition, maintenance, damage, extras and documentation can change the later offer.

Professional interest and contact: there is no guaranteed final offer

The flow may put the motorbike in front of interested or nearby professionals, according to the current description. That does not mean every motorbike will receive a final offer, or that all professionals will value the same unit in the same way. The match depends on the vehicle, area, demand and the professional buyer’s criteria.

If interest appears, check that the contact and the appointment belong to the legitimate flow. Anyone presenting themselves as a “Motos.net professional” but asking for strange advance payments, passwords or documentation without context should go through the safety guide before you continue.

The physical inspection changes the level of evidence

The current article explains that the professional inspects the motorbike in more detail before making the definitive offer. This covers condition, possible damage, maintenance, accessories, documentation and other elements that cannot be fully known from a remote form.

The appointment does not oblige you to accept. Until there is a specific proposal and you decide, the process is still a commercial evaluation. If you need an independent view of the motorbike, MOTO-CHECK remains the owner of technical and administrative inspection; the professional buyer’s inspection does not replace your own due diligence where relevant.

The final offer is a PROFESSIONAL OFFER, not yet SOLD

After seeing the motorbike, the professional may put forward a final price. Barguvo labels it PROFESSIONAL OFFER. Only if the transaction is completed and there is evidence of closure can it be called SOLD. This classification avoids two mistakes: using the remote estimate as a sale price, and using a rejected offer as a transaction.

It also allows the routes to be compared cleanly. A high ASKING price in a private sale is not directly comparable with a professional offer that builds in margin, speed, handling and commercial risk. Each figure answers to a different stage.

Private sale vs professional: comparing time, convenience and price without absolutes

Motos.net’s own landing page presents the professional sale as more convenient and faster, with associated handling of paperwork, while attributing greater price potential to the private sale. These are commercial descriptions of the service, not a universal rule for all motorbikes.

FactorPrivate saleSale to a professional
ListingRequires a listing and contacts.Route without a public listing.
PriceYou set the ASKING price and negotiate. You receive a professional offer after inspection.
TimeDepends on finding a buyer.Designed to simplify the process.
HandlingMore tasks fall on the parties.Motos.net attributes more of the handling to the professional.

The right decision depends on your priority. If you need speed, a professional offer can be useful even if it differs from your ideal ASKING price. If you can invest time in photos, viewings and negotiation, the private channel offers a different kind of control. Barguvo does not claim that one is always better.

Paperwork, warranty and payment: attribute the promises to the flow, do not turn them into a universal guarantee

The direct sale page promotes that the professional takes care of the sale paperwork and presents payment as a convenient process. That description must remain attributed to the current service. It does not mean that Barguvo guarantees any specific legal, banking or contractual outcome.

Before closing, check who is buying, which documents are signed, what amount is paid, when the motorbike is handed over and how the transfer is evidenced. If a commercial claim and the final document differ, the specific document of the transaction prevails. Barguvo can help you spot inconsistencies, not replace the professional party or the official procedure.

What to bring to the inspection and when to use MOTO-CHECK

Prepare the relevant ownership and maintenance documentation, keys and included accessories. If the motorbike has modifications, damage or issues, it is best to describe them before the visit. A transparent inspection reduces the gap between ESTIMATE and final offer caused by information the remote calculation did not know.

MOTO-CHECK remains the cross-cutting guide for VIN/frame number (bastidor), DGT, ITV, mileage, charges and mechanics. Selling to a professional does not automatically make the vehicle verified, nor does it remove the need to understand what is being handed over.

The correct decision sequence

  1. Enter the motorbike’s details.
  2. Receive an indicative figure: ESTIMATE.
  3. Check whether there are interested professionals.
  4. Arrange the inspection/appointment through the legitimate channel.
  5. The professional inspects the unit.
  6. You receive a specific PROFESSIONAL OFFER.
  7. You compare it with your alternatives and decide as a human.
  8. Only after the transaction is closed and documented is there a real sale.

At any step you can decline and go back to the VENDER owner to publish to private buyers. If a strange identity or payment signal appears, switch to the SAFETY owner before continuing.

Preparing the professional inspection without turning it into an opaque auction

Before the appointment, gather the information that may explain differences between the remote estimate and the price the professional sees: current mileage, documented maintenance, number of keys, included accessories, available original parts, known damage and any relevant modification. You do not need to “sell” the motorbike to them by hiding defects; you need the inspection to start from a description consistent with the unit.

If a part or repair has an invoice, bring it as evidence of what you claim. If there is no document, describe what you know without elevating a memory to a certificate. The same rule applies to services, tyres or drivetrain changes: a precise claim is more useful than a list of adjectives.

It is worth asking in advance what documentation the professional will need and what happens if you decide not to accept. The current Motos.net article presents the appointment as an inspection prior to the final offer, not as an obligation to sell. Even so, the specific conditions presented to you in the live flow are the ones you must read before signing or handing anything over.

If the appointment arrives through a contact that does not fit the expected flow, check the channel. The real existence of the sell-to-a-professional service does not make every message using that name authentic. A request for an advance payment, a password or a sensitive document out of context should go to the SEGURIDAD owner.

How to compare the PROFESSIONAL OFFER without confusing convenience with a “mandatory” discount

A professional offer may come in below, equal to or, in some cases, even above what you imagined asking a private buyer. There is no universal percentage that Barguvo could honestly apply. The professional buyer builds in their assessment of condition, costs, risk, demand and expected margin; the private sale, on the other hand, makes you take on time, viewings, negotiation and part of the handling.

Compare figures at the same level. Your private ASKING price is a request, not a sale. The initial ESTIMATE is a calculated reference, not an offer. The PROFESSIONAL OFFER is a specific proposal after inspection, but it is not yet SOLD. A clean comparison can place the three figures in columns and add the real costs/time you know, without inventing the final price of a sale that does not yet exist.

The content of the proposal also matters: who is buying, what the price includes, how the change of ownership is handled, when payment is made, what happens with accessories and which documents you will receive. A slightly higher figure with ambiguous conditions may be worse than a clear figure; a lower figure with handling you value may be acceptable. That weighing is a human one.

If you decide to decline, go back to the VENDER A PARTICULARES alternative with an additional reference, but do not publish the professional offer as if it were a market “sold price”. It is information about your specific transaction. If you accept, keep the proposal and the final documents to separate what was promised from what was actually carried out.

The correct conclusion is not “Motos.net valued me at X, so my motorbike is worth X”. It is: “I received an ESTIMATE, a professional inspected the unit and offered me Y; I decided to accept or decline according to my priorities”. That sentence keeps the chain of evidence intact.
