The first 24 hours: inspect before throwing away the packaging
The current Express help page requires any non-conformity to be reported within a maximum of 24 hours of receiving the parcel.
When you receive a product bought through Milanuncios Express, do not immediately throw away the box, filling or label. Check that the item matches what was agreed: model, condition, accessories, quantity and visible damage. If there is a non-conformity, the current returns page states that you must contact Milanuncios within a maximum of 24 hours of receipt and then try to reach an agreement with the seller.
Photograph the outside if you see knocks or signs of opening.
Keep the packaging and compare the contents with the listing/chat.
Report the non-conformity through the current procedure.
Negotiate the agreement without losing evidence or deadlines.
24 h is the operational time limit for Express, not a universal consumer rule
Do not confuse it with possible legal rights when you buy from a business. The platform policy and the legal regime are different layers.
What evidence to prepare before writing “it is not right”
A claim is stronger when it describes the specific difference and links it to what was agreed.
The returns page states that only conversations held through the Milanuncios chat are accepted as evidence for a return within the flow described. This makes the chat an important part of traceability. If a material condition was agreed only in a phone call or an external messaging app, it may be harder to prove within the platform procedure.
Minimise data: to prove a scratch you do not need to keep a copy of the seller's DNI; to identify a transaction you do not need to publish the other person's phone number publicly. Evidence does not mean indiscriminate exposure.
If the seller accepts the return
The current policy sends a code and sets a maximum of 7 calendar days to hand the parcel in at Correos.
When the seller accepts the return, Milanuncios states that it will send a code for taking the item to Correos. The buyer must hand in the parcel within a maximum of 7 calendar days. If it is not handed in within that time, the return is cancelled according to the current help page. The platform also states that it covers the return costs within this flow and that the refund includes shipping costs and the service fee once the seller receives the product.
The seller accepts the return.
Milanuncios sends the code for the flow.
Return it in suitable condition and keep evidence.
Hand the parcel in at Correos within the time limit.
The refund follows the documented process.
Do not send it by an alternative method without checking what the procedure recognises, because you may lose traceability. Keep the proof of drop-off and the tracking until the issue is closed.
If the seller does not accept or there is no agreement
The current help page sets a maximum of 5 calendar days before Milanuncios reviews the case according to its policy.
If the seller rejects the return and you do not reach an agreement within a maximum of 5 calendar days, Milanuncios states that it will review the case and make a decision in line with its policy. This does not mean that every claim will be resolved in the buyer's favour. The page lists exclusions and situations that may fall outside, such as certain normal signs of use or products tampered with by the buyer.
Keep the conversation within the chat, respond to requests for evidence and avoid altering the item.
Do not say that “Milanuncios always refunds the money” or that opening a claim guarantees a specific outcome.
The exclusions are dynamic and it is best to check them on the current page. R70 summarises them by principle instead of copying a list that may change: conformity with the description, condition, later tampering and compliance with the terms of use.
Transport damage: photograph the parcel before the evidence disappears
Visible external damage must be documented from the moment of delivery; the packaging is part of the case.
The help page on selling with Express specifies a procedure for when a returned product reaches the seller damaged. It requires contact within 24 hours and photos of the outer and inner packaging, the damaged product and the Correos label. If the damage is visible from the outside, it states that it must be reported to the Correos staff at the time of delivery so that it is put on record.
Knocks, openings, moisture or deformation before handling the box.
Protection, immobilisation and the relationship between packaging and damage.
Overall view and close-up of the damage without hiding context.
It links the evidence to the corresponding shipment.
The aim is not to produce a hundred photos, but to document the physical chain. If you throw away the box and then discover damage, you lose information that may be needed to distinguish insufficient packaging from a transport incident.
A return is not an authentication service
Milanuncios states that it does not inspect or approve Express products.
The returns policy exists because discrepancies may arise between what was listed and what was received. That does not make Milanuncios a universal authenticator. The help page itself states that it does not inspect or pre-approve products bought or sold through Express. If the problem is authenticity, you will need to provide evidence suited to the type of object and the reason for the claim.
Nor should Barguvo turn a visual discrepancy into a “counterfeit” without sufficient evidence. It can mark `INCONCLUSIVE`, recommend checks or refer to a specialised guide. For an iPhone, car or motorbike there are cross-cutting owners with specific checks.
Express policy versus consumers' legal rights
Buying from a private individual and buying from a business are not legally identical situations.
The 24-hour window, the 7 days for Correos and the 5-day escalation are operational rules of the Express policy as revalidated today. If the seller acts as a business, there may also be legal consumer rights that do not disappear just because the platform has its own procedure. This guide does not replace legal advice and does not by itself determine whether someone is a business.
Do not automatically attribute a general 14-day right of withdrawal to any sale between private individuals.
Review the applicable legal rights as well as the platform policy; an internal time limit should not be presented as a universal substitute.
Where there is a conflict between the description in a help page and a legal obligation applicable to the case, the legal obligation prevails. Barguvo must say so with caution and refer to official sources when the question goes beyond the platform procedure.
Cancellation, refund and the different states of a return
Cancelling before acceptance is not the same as returning an item already received.
Express provides for cancellations and refunds at certain stages, for example when an offer is not accepted within the time limit. It is important not to mix those states up with a post-receipt return. A cancellation may mean the product was never shipped; a return presupposes that there is an item received that must go back to the seller within the procedure.
When you check on a refund, look at the actual status of the transaction and the original payment method. Do not hand over card details again to someone who asks for them by message “to return the money”: the security help page states that refunds in the official flow are processed without asking for the card again by SMS or external chat.
Decision tree: what do I do now?
Start with the time elapsed and the nature of the problem; then choose the evidence and the channel.
If not, check the shipping/cancellation status.
Document and report immediately.
Use the code and return via Correos within ≤7 days.
Keep the chat going; after 5 days without agreement the case review begins.
Also review the applicable legal rights.
If a time limit has already passed, do not claim that “nothing can be done any more”. Check the help page and, if there are legal rights or an external incident, review the relevant options. What you must avoid is presenting a guaranteed outcome.
Clean claim checklist
An orderly issue makes it possible to respond quickly to support requests and reduces contradictions.
Barguvo can organise this case file and spot what is missing, but the form, the return and the decision belong to Milanuncios and, where appropriate, to the relevant authorities or legal mechanisms.
Official sources and review date
Figures and time limits are checked again before publication because they may change.
The criteria of comparability, data minimisation, signals versus proof and the ASKING/SOLD separation are Barguvo editorial methodology, not statements by Milanuncios.
Always check the information the platform shows for your specific listing, account and transaction.
