Quick answer

In the current standard flow, report the problem with “Tengo un problema” (I have a problem) within 2 calendar days of the applicable notification. If a return is required for SNAD, the documented deadline is 5 working days unless Vinted or the parties indicate otherwise.

B

Critical window: “Tengo un problema”

In the current standard flow, Vinted requires you to report the problem within 2 calendar days of the applicable notification.

Notification

Vinted reports that the item has been delivered or appears to be lost.

2 calendar days

Current standard deadline for pressing “Tengo un problema”. The transaction is put on hold.

If you do not act

The transaction may be automatically marked as completed.

DEADLINE P0

Do not wait to “see if it sorts itself out tomorrow” when you already have a real problem

The deadline is operational and subject to change. Check the order screen and the current T&Cs.

C

SNAD: item significantly not as described

Vinted recommends talking to the seller first, but the Buyer Protection flow lets you raise the problem within the deadline.

In the current standard process, the seller can grant the refund without requiring a return or ask you to send the item back. When a return is required, the T&Cs currently document 5 working days unless a different communication/agreement applies. The buyer bears the cost of the return unless otherwise agreed with the seller.

1You report

Press “Tengo un problema”.

2You explain

Describe the difference and provide evidence.

3Seller decides

Refund without return or requests a return.

4You return it

If applicable, within the deadline communicated.

5Closure

Vinted releases/refunds according to the resolution.

Prepare a clear, minimal claim

Barguvo can help you organise facts and evidence; the claim is filed on Vinted.

D

Counterfeits: do not treat them as just another SNAD

Vinted has specific rules for counterfeit items and may request additional information.

If your problem is authenticity, document why the doubt exists and avoid conclusive claims based on a single photo, invoice or detail. The Item Verification service also has its own flow when the order went through the centre.

E

A standard account and a Pro seller are not the same regime

Purchases from Pro sellers include consumer rights and different deadlines.

Standard seller

The standard Buyer Protection flow and the order/T&C deadlines apply.

Pro seller

The current Pro page documents returns within 14 days of receipt, in addition to the applicable Pro conditions.

Do not turn “Pro” into proof of authenticity. It is a seller regime, not a certification of each item.

F

What evidence to keep

Evidence must explain the problem, not create an indiscriminate archive of personal data.

✓Photos of the item received and of the packaging if relevant.
✓Screenshots of the listing/description where they explain the discrepancy.
✓Tracking and receipts when the problem is logistical.
✓Relevant messages within the order, without reposting sensitive data.
✓Authenticity documents only if relevant and with personal information minimised.
Use the order and the official button

The real deadlines and actions belong to the Vinted conversation/order.

Borderline cases in returns and refunds

The same symptom may need different actions depending on when it happened, what was advertised and whether the seller is standard or Pro.

The size does not fit me, but it was the size advertised

In a purchase from a standard seller, a garment not fitting you is not automatically the same as receiving something significantly different from the description. It would be different if the label, measurements or real size contradicted the listing. Before claiming, separate preference or personal fit from an objective discrepancy.

The colour looks different at home

Screens, lighting and cameras can alter perception. If the listing stated a specific colour and the item is objectively different, document the discrepancy. If there is only a difference in perception, the evidence may be inconclusive. Avoid editing evidence photos in a way that changes the colour you are trying to prove.

An accessory shown in the photos is missing

Compare the listing, description and contents received. If the accessory was part of the bundle or was reasonably presented as included, document its absence. If it only appeared as decoration and the text made clear it was not included, the analysis changes. The context of the listing matters.

The parcel arrived battered and so did the product

Keep the packaging, photos of the damage and the tracking. Do not throw away relevant material before you know what information the process requires. Distinguish damage to the packaging from damage to the item and, if you can, document both without introducing elements that were not present when you received it.

Tracking says delivered, but you do not have it

Do not press “Todo está bien” (Everything is OK). Check the notification, the delivery location and the deadline for reporting. A “delivered” status is a logistics signal, not absolute proof that you personally received the parcel. Use the order and provide the relevant information.

You bought from a Pro seller

Identify the Pro label before mechanically applying the standard flow. The professional-consumer relationship has its own rights and Vinted’s Pro page currently documents returns within 14 days of receipt. The details of the case and the current Pro conditions must be checked.

You bought a bundle and only one item has a problem

The current T&Cs provide that, when the problem is SNAD within a bundle, the buyer can return the affected items. Do not assume that the whole bundle must always follow the same solution; use the instructions for the specific case.

Enough evidence does not mean endless evidence: keep what proves identity, condition, discrepancy, packaging and tracking. Avoid collecting personal documents unrelated to the claim.

What happens after you open the problem

Putting the transaction on hold keeps the money in the flow while it is resolved. After that there may be an agreement with the seller, a return request or customer service involvement. Do not promise a specific outcome before the case is assessed: Buyer Protection describes scenarios and a process, not an automatic refund for any dissatisfaction.

H

Barguvo judgement: describe facts, do not draft an accusation

A solid claim compares what was promised with what was received, using relevant evidence.

Start with a timeline: what you bought, when it arrived, what the listing said and what you observed when opening the parcel. Then link each statement to a piece of evidence. “It is a scam” is a broad conclusion; “the listing showed two accessories and I received one” is a verifiable fact and more useful for resolving the case.

If there is a suspicion of counterfeiting, explain the elements that raise the doubt and let the specific flow assess the claim. A photo, a number or an invoice can support a hypothesis, but they should not be presented as universal proof if they are not.

Barguvo can help you organise that structure, but it does not decide the refund or file the claim on the user’s behalf. The official action and any return are done on Vinted.

I

How to write an issue report that can be reviewed

A short, chronological explanation linked to evidence is usually more useful than a long narrative loaded with conclusions.

Start by identifying the order and the problem: “received today; the listing stated size M and the label received is S”. Then add one or two photos showing the discrepancy. If the problem is damage, show the item and the packaging. If it is a loss, provide the tracking status and any receipt you have. Avoid mixing in the first message issues that do not affect the claim.

If the seller responds with a solution, check that it takes place within the flow that keeps your protection. Do not agree to close the problem solely because of an external promise. If Vinted asks for a return, follow the address, label and deadline communicated for that case.

When the case is complex, keep the timeline of messages and actions. Do not edit screenshots to make them look more conclusive and do not post the case on social media with personal data while it is still being resolved. The purpose of the evidence is to allow a decision on the transaction.

If you do not know whether something constitutes SNAD, describe the fact and the difference. It is the platform’s team that applies its policies to the case; Barguvo can help you organise the information, not guarantee the outcome.

J

How to close a claim without losing the context

deadlines and decisions must stay linked to the specific order, not to a rule remembered from another purchase.

When you open an issue, note what happened, when you detected it and what evidence is linked to that problem. A garment with an undisclosed stain, a battered parcel, a missing accessory or an item that raises authenticity doubts are not the same. Classifying the problem correctly helps the photos and messages address the material question instead of piling up irrelevant information.

Avoid writing the claim as a verdict. “The listing showed two accessories and I received one” is verifiable; “the seller tried to deceive me” attributes an intention you may not be able to prove. Barguvo should help present facts, the provenance of the evidence and what remains unknown. That discipline also reduces false positives when the problem has a logistical explanation or a description error.

Deadlines deserve special care. The guide records the current standard window for reporting a problem, but the specific order and the type of seller may introduce specific conditions. Vinted Pro, for example, has return rights that must not be mixed up with a standard transaction between private individuals. Before acting, check whether the seller appears as Pro and what instructions the transaction itself shows.

After sending evidence or returning an item where applicable, keep receipts until the case is resolved. Do not delete relevant conversations mid-process or send complete personal documents if a non-sensitive part is enough. If the problem affects payment, your account or possible phishing, switch to the security flow; if it affects authenticity, use the dedicated guide and the verification services when eligible.

The aim of this guide is not to promise an outcome. A claim can end in different ways depending on the facts, the evidence and the applicable conditions. Barguvo can help you organise the case and remember the deadline; the transactional decision and any refund are handled on Vinted.

FAQ

How long do I have to say there is a problem?

In the current standard flow it is 2 calendar days from the applicable notification of delivery or possible loss. The specific order prevails if Vinted communicates something different.

Who pays for the return?

For standard SNAD, the current T&Cs state that the buyer bears the cost unless otherwise agreed with the seller.

What happens if the item is fake?

Counterfeits are handled specifically. Report the problem within the deadline and provide the information requested; do not reduce it to a generic dispute about condition.

Can I return only part of a bundle?

The current T&Cs state that, in a bundle, the items that are significantly not as described can be returned according to the applicable flow.

What changes if the seller is Pro?

Purchases from Pro sellers are governed by different conditions and rights; the Pro page currently documents returns within 14 days of receipt.

What happens if I press “Todo está bien”?

It normally completes the transaction. Do not press it if there is an issue you still need to report.
